EXPERIENCE
Mr. Berge has been a trial lawyer in New Mexico since 1980. He is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and recognized by the Board of Legal Specialization of the New Mexico State Bar, as a civil trial specialist. He has appeared in federal and state courts throughout New Mexico, as well as several tribal courts.
Energy, Natural Resources, and Environmental Litigation
Mr. Berge has represented producers and energy companies in suits relating to all aspects of oil and gas production. He has defended companies in contract cases, royalty cases, and personal injury cases arising from industrial accidents. Mr. Berge has also litigated several cases relating to natural resources damages and alleged contamination of water and soil.
Products Liability, Torts and Insurance
Mr. Berge has represented consumers and manufacturers in products liability actions. He has also represented individuals and insurers in suits relating to insurance and insurance coverage. He has been on both sides of class action disputes in federal and state courts.
Mr. Berge has been admitted to practice in Colorado since 1979, and in New Mexico since 1980.
